El descubrimiento fue realizado por un grupo de estudiantes de la Universidad de Puno, conformados como \u201cMuseo Puno Paleontol\u00f3gico\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Desde la Direcci\u00f3n General de Patrimonio Cultural del Ministerio de Cultura se se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el registro f\u00f3sil del habitante peruano del Dev\u00f3nico [2] (que pertenece al grupo de los condrictios, grupo que abarca tambi\u00e9n a los tiburones) forma parte de una investigaci\u00f3n de oficio junto a representantes del grupo de investigaci\u00f3n Early Vertebrate Research-Lab de la Universidad de Valencia.
